The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, will stand far away for the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning; saying, 'Woe, woe, the great city, she who was dressed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls. For in an hour such great riches are made desolate.' Be it far from you to do things like that, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be like the wicked. May that be far from you. Shouldn't the Judge of all the earth do right?"
so that men shall say, "Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth."
But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another.

If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, The LORD your God; then the LORD will make your plagues wonderful, and the plagues of your seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and severe sicknesses, and of long continuance.
