and one of the elders says to me, "Weep not; behold, the Lion Who is of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, prevailed to open the book, and its seven seals.

And the son said to the father, 'Father, I sinned against Heaven, and before you; no longer am I worthy to be called your son!' But the father said to his servants, 'Quickly bring forth a robe, the best, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and sandals on his feet; and bring ye the fatted calf, kill it; and, eating, let us be merry; because this my son was dead, and came to life again; had been lost, and was found.' And they began to be merry. "Now his elder son was in a field; and as, in coming, he drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. And, calling to him one of the young men, he inquired of him, what these things might be. And he said to him, 'Your brother has come; and your father killed the fatted calf, because he received him in sound health.' But he was angry, and was not willing to go in; but his father, coming out, kept entreating him. But he, answering, said to his father, 'Behold, so many years do I serve you; and, at no time, did I transgress a command of yours; and you never gave me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends. But, when your son??his one who devoured your living with harlots??ame, you killed for him the fatted calf!' And he said to him, 'Child, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours' But it was meet to make merry, and rejoice; because this your brother was dead, and came to life again; and had been lost, and was found."
