Now, in that place, there happened to be an abandoned man, whose name, was Sheba son of Bichri, a man of Benjamin, - so he blew a horn, and said - We have no share in David, Nor inheritance have we in the son of Jesse, Every man to his home, O Israel!

So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying - What portion have, we, in, David. Or inheritance in the son of Jesse? To your homes O Israel! Now, see to thine own house, O David! And Israel departed to their homes.

How pleasing are thy tents, O Jacob, - Thy habitations, O Israel: Like ravines extended, Like gardens by a river, - Like aloe-trees Yahweh hath planted, Like cedars by waters:


So Abram moved his tent and came in and dwelt among the oaks of Mamre, which were in Hebron, - and built there an altar to Yahweh.

And he moved on from thence towards the hill country, on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, - with Bethel on the west, and Ai on the east, and bulk there an altar to Yahweh, and called on the name of Yahweh.

And Yahweh appeared unto him among the oaks of Mamre, - as, he, was sitting at the opening of the tent in the heat of the day.


My dwelling, hath been broken up. And is stripped from me, like a shepherds tent, - I have roiled up - as a weaver - my life From the loom, doth he cut me off, From day until night, I said - Thou wilt finish me.

Against her, shall come shepherds with their flocks; They have pitched against her their tents, round about, They tend their flocks every one near at hand.


And Isaac brought her into the tent of Sarah his mother; thus he took Rebekah and she became his wife and he loved her, - and Isaac consoled himself, for the loss of his mother.

Then entered Laban into the tent of Jacob and into the tent of Leah and into the tent of the two handmaids, and found nothing, - then went he forth out of the tent of Leah, and entered into the tent of Rachel.


Moreover also, the tents of the cattle, they smote, - and carried off sheep in abundance, and camels, and returned to Jerusalem.


It shall not be dwelt in for ever, Neither shall it be inhabited from generation to generation, - Neither shall encamp there, an Arab, Nor, shepherds, fold their flocks there.


And Adah bare Jabal, - he, was father of such as dwell in tents, and have cattle;


and, because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought, for they were tent-makers by their trade.


Under distress, saw I the tents of Ethiopia, - tremble, do the curtains of the land of Midian.


So Moses went forth to meet his father-in-law, and bowed himself down to him and kissed him, and they asked each other of their welfare, - and came into the tent.




Now, Lot also, who was going with Abram, had flocks and herds and tents.


for, they with their cattle, used to come up, with their tents - yea they used to come like locusts, for multitude, both they and their cattle, were without number, - so they came into the land, to lay it waste.
