"I am going the way of all the earth. You be strong therefore, and show yourself a man;

Joseph said to his brothers, "I am dying, but God will surely visit you, and bring you up out of this land to the land which he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob."

Behold, today I am going the way of all the earth. You know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you. All have happened to you. Not one thing has failed of it.

Abraham gave up the spirit, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years, and was gathered to his people.


It happened after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being one hundred ten years old.




He enters into peace; they rest in their beds, each one who walks in his uprightness.






"But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in like manner, bad things. But now here he is comforted and you are in anguish.






It happened in those days that she fell sick, and died. When they had washed her, they placed her in an upper chamber.


"Now you are releasing your servant, Sovereign Lord, according to your word, in peace;


If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my warfare would I wait, until my release should come.
