You shall consider in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so Yahweh your God chastens you.
Yahweh, correct me, but in measure: not in your anger, lest you bring me to nothing.
He who disciplines the nations, won't he punish? He who teaches man knows. Yahweh knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.
Yah has punished me severely, but he has not given me over to death.
It is for discipline that you endure. God deals with you as with children, for what son is there whom his father doesn't discipline? But if you are without discipline, of which all have been made partakers, then are you illegitimate, and not children.
