This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah according to their families.

and Hazar-shual and Beersheba and Biziothiah,

and came to the fortress of Tyre and to all the cities of the Hivites and of the Canaanites, and they went out to the south of Judah, to Beersheba.


So they had as their inheritance Beersheba or Sheba and Moladah,

The inheritance of the sons of Simeon was taken from the portion of the sons of Judah, for the share of the sons of Judah was too large for them; so the sons of Simeon received an inheritance in the midst of Judah’s inheritance.

They lived at Beersheba, Moladah and Hazar-shual,


Therefore he called that place Beersheba, because there the two of them took an oath. So they made a covenant at Beersheba; and Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, arose and returned to the land of the Philistines. Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God.

So Abraham returned to his young men, and they arose and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham lived at Beersheba.


“But do not resort to Bethel
And do not come to Gilgal,
Nor cross over to Beersheba;
For Gilgal will certainly go into captivity
And Bethel will come to trouble.

“As for those who swear by the guilt of Samaria,
Who say, ‘As your god lives, O Dan,’
And, ‘As the way of Beersheba lives,’
They will fall and not rise again.”


Then Jacob departed from Beersheba and went toward Haran.


Then he went up from there to Beersheba.


So Israel set out with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.


Now the name of his firstborn was Joel, and the name of his second, Abijah; they were judging in Beersheba.


Then all the sons of Israel from Dan to Beersheba, including the land of Gilead, came out, and the congregation assembled as one man to the Lord at Mizpah.
