“They will not hunger or thirst,
Nor will the scorching heat or sun strike them down;
For He who has compassion on them will lead them
And will guide them to springs of water.

When the child was grown, the day came that he went out to his father to the reapers. He said to his father, "My head, my head." And he said to his servant, "Carry him to his mother." When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her lap until noon, and then died.



The light is pleasant, and it is good for the eyes to see the sun.

“I go about mourning without comfort;
I stand up in the assembly and cry out for help.


For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away.

And after the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.


“Do not stare at me because I am swarthy,
For the sun has burned me.
My mother’s sons were angry with me;
They made me caretaker of the vineyards,
But I have not taken care of my own vineyard.


And with the choice yield of the sun,
And with the choice produce of the months.


They gathered it morning by morning, every man as much as he should eat; but when the sun grew hot, it would melt.
