They will not be hungry or thirsty; the sun's oppressive heat will not beat down on them, for one who has compassion on them will guide them; he will lead them to springs of water.

The boy grew and one day he went out to see his father who was with the harvest workers. He said to his father, "My head! My head!" His father told a servant, "Carry him to his mother." So he picked him up and took him to his mother. He sat on her lap until noon and then died.



Light is sweet, and it is pleasant for a person to see the sun.

I go about blackened, but not by the sun; in the assembly I stand up and cry for help.


For the sun rises with its heat and dries up the meadow; the petal of the flower falls off and its beauty is lost forever. So also the rich person in the midst of his pursuits will wither away.

When the sun came up it was scorched, and because it did not have sufficient root, it withered.


Do not stare at me because I am dark, for the sun has burned my skin. My brothers were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards. Alas, my own vineyard I could not keep!


with the harvest produced by the daylight and by the moonlight;


So they gathered it each morning, each person according to what he could eat, and when the sun got hot, it would melt.
