but about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Hath his loving-kindness ceased for ever? hath his word come to an end from generation to generation?
But Zion said, Jehovah hath forsaken me, and the Lord hath forgotten me.
For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
