God's angel stood by them and His glory gave illumination around them and they were very afraid. The angel spoke to them: Do not be afraid. Behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy to all the people. Christ (Messiah) the Lord, a Savior, is born this day in the city of David.
Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly hosts praising God, and saying: Glory to God in the highest. Peace on earth among men with whom he is pleased.
