and cried with a loud voice, and said, Blessed are you among women! and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord has come to me? For, behold, when the voice of your salutation came to my ears, the babe leaped in my womb with exultation. And blessed is she that believed; for there shall be an accomplishment of the words spoken to her by the Lord. And Mary said, My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit exults in God my Saviour; for he has looked on the low condition of his servant; for, behold, from this time all generations shall call me blessed, because the mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name; and his mercy is to generations and generations of them that fear him. He has made strong his arm; he has scattered the proud with the thought of their hearts; he has brought down the mighty from thrones, and exalted the humble; he has filled the hungry with goods, and sent the rich away empty. He has helped Israel his servant, and remembered his mercy, as he said to our fathers, to Abraham and his posterity forever. And Mary remained with her about three months, and returned to her house.
