Thematic Bible: Who does not marry

Thematic Bible

And the Sadducees come to Him, who say there is no resurrection; and asked Him, saying; Teacher, Moses wrote to us, That if the brother of any man may die, and leave a wife and have no children, that his brother must take his wife and raise up seed to his brother. There were seven brothers, and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed. read more.
And the second received her and died, and he left no seed; and the third likewise. And the seven received her and left no seed. Last of all the woman also died. Then in the resurrection, when they may rise, of which one of them shall she be the wife? for the seven had her a wife. And Jesus responding, said to them; Therefore do you not err, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God? For when they may rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage; but they are as angels in the heavens. But concerning the dead, that they are raised, have you not read in the book of Moses at the Bush, how God spoke to him saying; I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You do err much.

On that day the Sadducees came to Him, saying, there is no resurrection: and asked Him, saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any man may die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed to his brother. But there were among us seven brothers: the first marrying died, and having no seed left his wife to his brother. read more.
Likewise also, the second, and third, even unto seven. And last of all the woman also died. Therefore in the resurrection, of which one of the seven shall she be the wife? for they all had her. and Jesus responding said to them, You err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but they are as angels of God in heaven: concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

And certain ones of the Sadducees, who deny that there is a resurrection, coming forward asked Him, saying, Teacher, Moses wrote to us, That if the brother of any one may die having a wife, and the same may die childless, that his brother must take his wife and raise up seed to his brother. Then there were seven brothers; and the first receiving a wife died childless. read more.
And the second and the third received her, and likewise also the seven; they left no children and died. Last of all the woman also died. Therefore in the resurrection of which one of them is she the wife? for the seven had her a wife. And responding Jesus said to them, The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage, but those counted worthy to attain that age and the resurrection, which is from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; for they are not able yet to die; for they are like the angels, and sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. But that the dead are raised, Moses also mentioned at the Bush, when he says; The Lord, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. He is not the God of the dead but of the living; for all live unto Him.
