I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with own self, with the glory I had with thee before the world began. "I have made known thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou gavest them to me, and they have kept thy word. They know now that whatever thou hast given me was from thee; for I have given them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and they have believed that thou didst send me. "I am praying for them; I am not praying for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine, and all thine are mine, and mine are thine; and I am glorified in them. While I was with them I kept them by the power of thy name which thou hast given me. I guarded them, and none of them was lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
