He that is slow to wrath is of great intelligence, but he that is short of spirit exalts folly.
He that refuses chastening despises his own soul, but he that hears reproof has an understanding heart.
Resh The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; Schin A good understanding have all those that do his will; Tau His praise endures for ever.
Smite a scorner, and the simple will become prudent, and reproving one that has understanding, he will understand knowledge.
My son, if thou wilt receive my words and hide my commandments within thee so that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom and apply thine heart to intelligence, yea, if thou criest for understanding and givest thy voice unto intelligence, read more.
if thou seekest her as silver and searchest for her as for hid treasures, then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; out of his mouth comes knowledge and intelligence. He keeps the person of the upright; he is a buckler to those that walk perfectly, keeping the paths of judgment and the way of his merciful ones. Then shalt thou understand righteousness and judgment and equity, yea, every good path.

Unless thy law had been my delight, I should have perished in my affliction. I will never forget thy precepts; for with them thou hast caused me to live. I am thine, keep me; for I have sought thy precepts. The wicked have waited for me to destroy me, but I will consider thy testimonies. I have seen an end of all perfection, but thy commandment is exceeding broad. MEM. O how I love thy law! it is my meditation all the day. Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies, for they are eternal unto me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for thy testimonies have been my meditation.
