When therefore the chief priests and attendants saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify, crucify. Pilate says to them, Take ye him, and crucify; for I find no fault in him.
And in the accusing him by the chief priests and the more ancient, he answered nothing. Then says Pilate to him, Hearest thou not what they witness against thee? And he answered him not to one word: so that the leader wondered greatly.
And the inscription of his accusation was inscribed above, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
And there was also an inscription written upon him, in letters Greek, Roman, and Hebrew; THIS IS KING OF THE JEWS.
And Pilate also wrote a title, and put upon the cross. And it was written, JESUS THE NAZARITE, KING OF THE JEWS. Then read many of the Jews this title: for the place was near the city where Jesus was crucified: and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, Roman. Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.read more.
Pilate answered, What I have written, I have written.
And Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, I find nothing blameworthy in this man.
Then again went out Pilate without, and says to them, See, I lead him to you without, that ye might know that in him I find no fault.
