Receive not an accusation against an old man, unless before two or three witnesses.

And if your brother sin against you, go and tell him of his fault between you and him alone; if he hear you, you have gained your brother. But if he will not hear you, take with you one or two more, that, by the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word may be established. But if he refuse to hear them, tell it to the church; and if he also refuse to hear the church, let him be to you as a heathen man and a publican.read more.
Verily, I say to you, my disciples, Whatever you bind on earth, shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven. Again, I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about any thing for which they will ask, it shall be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. Come to an agreement with your opponent at law quickly, while you are on the road with him, lest your opponent at law deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. Verily, I say to you, You shall by no means come out thence, till you have paid the last farthing.

For when you are going with your opponent at law to the ruler, while you are on the way, endeavor to be delivered from him, lest he drag you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the collector, and the collector throw you into prison. Does any one of you that has a matter of dispute with another, presume to be judged before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? Know you not that the saints shall judge the world? If, then, you have controversies pertaining to things of this life, set them to judge who are the least esteemed in the church. I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not among you a wise man, not even one, who shall be able to arbitrate between his brethren? But brother goes to law with brother, and this before the unbelievers? Now, certainly, you are altogether in fault, that you have law-suits with one another. Why do you not rather suffer injustice? Why do you not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? But you act unjustly, and you defraud, and that, too, your brethren.
