in like manner, that women adorn themselves in becoming apparel, with modesty and sobriety, not with braided hair, and gold, or pearls, or costly raiment,

whose adorning, let it not be the outward one of braiding of hair and of wearing of golden ornaments, or of putting on apparel; but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible apparel of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
