5 Bible Verses about Soberness

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strifes, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties, envyings, drunkenness, revelings, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, as I also said before, that those practicing such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

in like manner, that women adorn themselves in becoming apparel, with modesty and sobriety, not with braided hair, and gold, or pearls, or costly raiment,

But she shall be saved through her child-bearing, if they abide in faith, and love, and holiness, with sobriety.

It is needful that deacons, in like manner, be grave, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy of base gain;

But the end of all things has drawn near; be ye, therefore, of sound mind, and be sober unto prayers; above all things, having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins; being hospitable to one another, without murmuring;
