He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who would destroy his own soul does it. Wounds and dishonor he shall get, and his reproach shall not be wiped away. For jealousy is a man's fury, and he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

Let not thy heart decline to her ways. Go not astray in her paths. For she has cast down many wounded. Yea, all her slain are a mighty host. Her house is the way to Sheol, going down to the chambers of death.

For that is a heinous crime, yea, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges. For it is a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out all my increase.

And the man who commits adultery with another man's wife, even he who commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
