Search the Scriptures, because in them ye think ye have eternal life; and they are they which testify concerning me; and you do not wish to come unto me, in order that you may have life.

Moreover from this many of His disciples went back, and walked with Him no more.

He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But so many as received Him, to them gave He the right to become the children of God, to those believing on His name: who were born not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Therefore the one rejecting (sanctification), does not reject man, but God, who indeed gives to you his Holy Spirit.

And Paul and Barnabas speaking boldly, said, It was necessary that the word of God should first be spoken to you: since you have rejected it, and judge yourselves not worthy of eternal life, behold we now turn to the Gentiles.
