But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;

Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: and exceedingly the more we rejoiced for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all. For if I have boasted any thing to him concerning you, I am not ashamed; but as we spoke all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth. And his tender affection is more abundant towards you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.

So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted to you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear to us.

For God is my witness, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

My little children, of whom I travail in birth again, until Christ be formed in you,

Besides those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children: So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted to you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear to us.
