Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

Who have forsaken the right way, and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
That they all may be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
How much more abominable and filthy is man, who drinketh iniquity like water?
He loveth transgression that loveth strife: and he that exalteth his gate seeketh destruction.
