9 Bible Verses about Affections Should Not Grow Cold

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will become cold.

But I have against you that you left your first love.

And may the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all, even as we also toward you,

They hurried and forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel;

As to diligence, not slothful, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

What then was your blessedness? For I bear you record that, if you were able, plucking out your eyes, you would have given them to me.

I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in full knowledge and in all perception;

And they forgot His works and His wonders which He had shown them.
