9 Bible Verses about Affections Should Not Grow Cold

And because iniquity will abound, the love of many will become cold.

Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one towards another, and towards all men, even as we do towards you:

They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel:

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

What then was the blessedness ye spoke of; for I bear you testimony, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then, because thou art luke-warm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit thee out of my mouth: Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

And forgot his works, and his wonders that he had shown them.
