The angel of the LORD encampeth around them that fear him, and delivereth them.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall inherit salvation?

And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters who are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters: the LORD being merciful to him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life: look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain: escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for by this some have entertained angels unawares.

But while he thought on these things, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take to thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit.

And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Then the devil leaveth him, and behold, angels came and ministered to him.

And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for thee.

Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.
