Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus,

He, therefore, casting away his garment, rose and came to Jesus. And Jesus, answering, said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? And the blind man said unto him, Master, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go; thy faith has saved thee. And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus in the way.

From which came that not even the first one was dedicated without blood.

A bruised reed he shall not break, and a smoking flax he shall not quench until he sends forth judgment unto victory.
