The Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh had forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty men ready for military service, able-bodied men who could handle shield and sword, who could use a bow, and who were trained for battle.

The sons of Ulam were brave warriors who could handle the bow. They had many sons and grandsons, one hundred fifty in all. All these were the descendants of Benjamin.

All the people in the city will flee at the sound of riders and archers. They will go off into the thickets and climb among the rocks. The entire city will be abandoned. No one will live in it.
