The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

Thus says the LORD: "Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the LORD."

Hear and give ear; be not proud, for the LORD has spoken.

That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear.

God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
