And when the LORD sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, 'Go up and take possession of the land that I have given you,' then you rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God and did not believe him or obey his voice.
And the LORD said to Moses, "How long will this people despise me? And how long will they not believe in me, in spite of all the signs that I have done among them?
But they would not listen, but were stubborn, as their fathers had been, who did not believe in the LORD their God.
She listens to no voice; she accepts no correction. She does not trust in the LORD; she does not draw near to her God.
In spite of all this, they still sinned; despite his wonders, they did not believe.

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?"
Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son.
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God actually say, 'You shall not eat of any tree in the garden'?"

That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear.
What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God?
And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them."
Do not let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD by saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.'
