the blessing, if ye shall hearken to the commandments of LORD your God, which I command you this day,
I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before thee life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore choose life, that thou may live, thou and thy seed,
And it shall come to pass, when all these things have come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shall call them to mind among all the nations, where LORD thy God has driven thee,
For such as are blessed by him shall inherit the land, and those who are cursed by him shall be cut off.

and all these blessings shall come upon thee, and overtake thee, if thou shall hearken to the voice of LORD thy God:
And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in the book of the law.
Nevertheless LORD thy God would not hearken to Balaam, but LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing to thee, because LORD thy God loved thee.
Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and fought against Israel. And he sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you, but I would not hearken to Balaam. Therefore he blessed you greatly. So I delivered you out of his hand.
because they did not meet the sons of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, to curse them. However our God turned the curse into a blessing.

He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a lioness. Who shall rouse him up? He who blesses thee is blessed, And he who curses thee is cursed.
And Balak said to Balaam, What have thou done to me? I took thee to curse my enemies, and, behold, thou have blessed them altogether.
Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and curse. My brothers, these things ought not to happen this way.
