2 Bible Verses about Books, Metaphorical Use

AND I saw a great white throne and him that sat on it, from whose presence the earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, stand before the throne, and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is of life. And the dead were judged from the things written in the books according to their works.

And I went to the angel, and said to him, Give me the little book. And he said to me, Take and eat it, and it will embitter your stomach, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey. And I took the little book from the hand of the angel and eat it; and it was in my mouth as sweet as honey; and when I eat it, my stomach was bitter.
