I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals.
He had a little scroll which was open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the land,
Then the voice which I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, "Go, take the scroll which is open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land." So I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little scroll. And he said to me, "Take it and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey." I took the little scroll from the angel's hand and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey; but when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.
And he came and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne.
And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals; for you were slain, and with your blood purchased men for God from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
