Come now, ye that say, Today and tomorrow we will go into such a city and continue there a year and buy and sell and get gain;
Seest thou a man diligent in his work? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before obscure men.
he that exhorts, in exhortation; he that gives, let him do it in simplicity; he that presides, in earnest care; he that shows mercy, in cheerfulness.
avoiding that anyone should blame us regarding this abundance which is ministered by us, providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men. And he spoke a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully; and he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?read more.
And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my storehouses and build greater, and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast many goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee; then whose shall those things be which thou hast stored up? So is he that lays up treasure for himself and is not rich in God.
