nor do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the lampstand; and it giveth light to all that are in the house.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid;

No one when he has lighted a lamp, puts it into a secret place, or under the bushel, but on the lampstand, that they who come in may see the light. The lamp of the body is thine eye. When thine eye is clear, thy whole body also is in the light; but when it is disordered, thy body also is in darkness. Take heed therefore, that the light which is within thee be not darkness.
