And they came to Jericho: and as he was going out of Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timseus, was sitting on the roadside, begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say: Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me! And many rebuked him, that he should be silent. But he cried out yet the more: Son of David, have mercy on me!read more.
And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they called the blind man, and said to him: Take courage; arise, he calls you. And throwing away his mantle, he arose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said to him: What do you wish me to do for you? The blind man said to him: Rabboni, that I may receive my sight. And Jesus said to him: Go, your faith has saved you. And he immediately received his sight, and followed Jesus on the road.

And his name, by faith in his name, has made this man strong whom you see and know; even the faith which is by him, has given him this entire soundness in the presence of you all.
