For vain man would be wise, though man is born like a wild ass's colt.

Binding his foal to the vine, and his ass's colt to the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh to thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

And if any man shall say to you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and immediately he will send him hither. And certain of them that stood there, said to them, What do ye, loosing the colt? And they said to them even as Jesus had commanded; and they let them go. And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
