For we do not presume to rank or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves: but they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves with them selves, have no understanding.

But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the markets, and calling to their companions,

To what, then, shall I compare the men of this generation? and to what are they like?
