And the Pharisees said to him: See, why are they doing on the sabbath-day what is not lawful?
And some of the Pharisees said to them: Why are you doing what it is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?
Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.
then the Pharisees and the scribes asked him: Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?
And behold, some of the scribes said within themselves: This man talks impiously.
And the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying: This man receives sinners, and eats with them.
Then the Jews murmured at him, because he said, I am like bread that came down from heaven. And they said: Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How, then, does he say, I came down from heaven? Jesus answered and said to them: Murmur not among your selves;
In those days, when the disciples were increasing in number, there arose a murmuring of the Hellenists against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallic said to the Jews: If it were a matter of in justice, or of wicked mischief, Jews, I would, with reason, bear with you: but if it is a question about a word, and names, and your law, see to it yourselves: for I will not be a judge of these tilings.
But Martha made herself busy with much serving; and she came to him, and said: Lord, dost thou not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Bid her, therefore, that she help me.
And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying: He has gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
These are murmurers, fault-finders, walking ac cording to their own desires; and their mouth speaks boastful words, while they admire persons for the sake of gain.
