And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, saying, "Before a cock crows, you will thrice deny Me." And, going forth without, he wept bitterly.

And, hearing this, they were pricked in the heart, and said to Peter, and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren! what shall we do?"

And Simon Peter, seeing it, fell down at the knees of Jesus, saying, "Depart from me; because I am a sinful man, O Lord;"

and, having fallen upon the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" And he said, "Who art Thou, Lord?" And He said, "I am Jesus Whom you are persecuting. But arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told you what you must do."

and, having brought them out, he said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

And I was alive apart from the law once; but, when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
