Remember, therefore whence you have fallen, and repent, and do your first works; or else I am coming to you, and will remove your candlestick out of its place, if you do not repent.

Likewise, ye younger, be subject to the elder; yea, all of you gird on the lowly mind to serve one another; because "God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the lowly." Be humbled, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due season;

The hungry He filled with good things, and the rich He sent away empty.

But let the lowly brother glory in his high station;

for ye both sympathized with those in bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your possessions; knowing that ye yourselves have a better possession and an abiding one.

God having provided something better concerning us, that, apart from us, they should not be made perfect.

to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and unfading; kept in Heaven for you,

as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and possessing all things.

Hearken, my beloved brethren, did not God choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to those who love Him?
