And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield unto you its strength; a fugitive and a wanderer shall you be in the earth. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

And Noah began to till the soil, and he planted a vineyard:

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.

Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and you shall sow the land.

And six years you shall sow your land, and shall gather in the fruits of it:

You shall keep my statutes. You shall not let your cattle breed with another kind: you shall not sow your field with mixed seed: neither shall a garment of mixed linen and wool come upon you.

And when you shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then you shall count the fruit thereof as unclean: three years shall it be as unclean unto you: it shall not be eaten of.

Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof; But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: you shall neither sow your field, nor prune your vineyard.

And houses full of all good things, which you filled not, and wells dug, which you dug not, vineyards and olive trees, which you planted not; when you shall have eaten and be full;

And what man is he that has planted a vineyard, and has not yet eaten of it? let him also go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it.

You shall not sow your vineyard with different seeds: lest the fruit of your seed which you have sown, and the fruit of your vineyard, be defiled. You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.

You shall plant vineyards, and dress them, but shall neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.

So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.

And this shall be a sign unto you, You shall eat this year such things as grow of themselves, and in the second year that which springs of the same; and in the third year sow you, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.

He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein. He turns the wilderness into a pool of water, and dry ground into water springs. And there he makes the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation; And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase. He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and permits not their cattle to decrease.

He that tills his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that follows vain persons is void of understanding.

The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.

He that tills his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that follows after worthless pursuits shall have poverty enough.

She considers a field, and buys it: with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.

I made myself great works; I built houses; I planted vineyards: I made myself gardens and orchards, and I planted trees in them with all kind of fruit:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

He that observes the wind shall not sow; and he that regards the clouds shall not reap. As you know not what is the way of the wind, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so you know not the works of God who makes all. And on all hills that were dug with the hoe, you shall not come there for fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be a range for oxen, and a place for sheep to tread.

And the desolate land shall be tilled, instead of lying desolate in the sight of all that passed by.

Since therefore you tread upon the poor, and you take from him burdens of wheat: you have built houses of hewn stone, but you shall not dwell in them; you have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall not drink wine of them.

Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that sows seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it.

Or says he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that plows should plow in hope; and that he that threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope.

But this I say, He who sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
