"'You must not steal, you must not tell lies, and you must not deal falsely with your fellow citizen.
You must not do injustice in the regulation of measures, whether of length, weight, or volume.
They profess to know God but with their deeds they deny him, since they are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good deed.
But we have rejected shameful hidden deeds, not behaving with deceptiveness or distorting the word of God, but by open proclamation of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone's conscience before God.
Let nobody deceive you with empty words, for because of these things God's wrath comes on the sons of disobedience.
A false witness will not go unpunished, and the one who spouts out lies will perish.
Who is allowed to ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may go up to his holy dwelling place? The one whose deeds are blameless and whose motives are pure, who does not lie, or make promises with no intention of keeping them.
How blessed is the one whose wrongdoing the Lord does not punish, in whose spirit there is no deceit.

So then, let us celebrate the festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of vice and evil, but with the bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth.
Therefore, having laid aside falsehood, each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.
For the one who wants to love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from uttering deceit.
But you, O God, will bring them down to the deep Pit. Violent and deceitful people will not live even half a normal lifespan. But as for me, I trust in you.
