For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgement; and if He spared not the old world,

and the angels that kept not their primitive state, but left their proper abode, hath He reserved in everlasting chains, under darkness, to the judgement of the great day:

and they cried out, saying, What have we to do with Thee, Jesus thou Son of God? Art Thou come hither to torment us before the time?

saying, If Thou cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of swine:

And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? and he said, Legion: because many demons were entred into him. And they besought Him that He would not command them to go into the abyss:
