And ye will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that ye be not troubled, for these things must come to pass; but the end is not yet. For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. But all these are a beginning of travail. Then will they deliver you up to tribulation, and will slay you; and ye will be hated by all the nations for My name's sake. And then will many be caused to stumble, and will deliver up one another, and hate one another; and many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray; and, because lawlessness abounds, the love of many will grow cold. But he that endures to the end, the same shall be saved. And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then shall the end come.

Then, if any one shall say to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ!' or 'Here,' believe it not; for there will arise false Christs and false prophets; and they will give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have foretold you. If, therefore, they say to you, 'Behold, He is in the wilderness;' go not forth; 'Behold, He is in the secret chambers,' believe it not, For, as the lightning comes forth from the east, and shines unto the west, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man. Wheresoever the carcase is, there the eagles will be gathered together. But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only. For as the days of Noe were, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man. For, as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day on which Noe entered into the ark, and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Then two men will be in the field; one is carried off, and one is left behind; two women will be grinding at the mill, one is carried off, and one is left behind. Watch ye, therefore, because ye know not in what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that, had the householder known at what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through. Therefore, be ye also ready; for, in an hour that ye think not, the Son of Man is coming.

But when ye see the abomination of desolation standing where it ought not, (let him that reads understand), then let those who are in Judaea flee to the mountains; And let him who is on the house not come down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house; and let him who is in the field not turn back to take his garment. But woe to those with child and to those giving suck in those days! And pray that it be not in winter; for those days will be a time of tribulation, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be. And, unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would have been saved; but, for the elect's sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days. And then, if any one shall say to you, 'Lo, here is the Christ!' or, 'Lo, there!' believe him not; for there will arise false Christs and false prophets, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect. But take heed; I have foretold you all things. "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will be falling out of the heavens, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. And then will they see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And, before all these things, they will lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up into the synagogues and prisons, being brought before kings and governors for My name's sake. It shall result to you for a testimony. Settle it, therefore, in your hearts, not to meditate beforehand how to make a defense; for I will give you a mouth, and wisdom which all your adversaries shall not be able to withstand or gainsay. But ye will be delivered up even by parents, and brothers, and kindred, and friends; and they will put some of you to death. And ye will be hated by all for My name's sake. And a hair of your head shall in no wise perish. In your patience possess ye your souls. "But when ye see Jerusalem encompassed by armies, then know that her desolation has drawn near. Then let those in Judaea flee into the mountains; and let those in the midst of it depart; and let not those in the country enter therein; because these are days of vengeance, that all the things written may be fulfilled. Woe to the women with child, and to those giving suck, in those days; for there will be great distress on the land, and wrath to this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led away captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by gentiles, until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled. And there will be signs in sun, and moon, and stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity for the roaring of the sea and billows; men fainting for fear and for expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then will they see the Son of Man coming in a cloud, with power and great glory. And, when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads; because your redemption is drawing near." And He spake a parable to them: "Behold the fig tree and all the trees; when they now shoot forth, beholding it, ye know of yourselves that already the summer is near. So also ye, when ye see these things coming to pass, know that the Kingdom of God is near. Verily I say to you, this generation will in no wise pass away, till all come to pass. The heaven and the earth will pass away; but My words shall in no wise pass away. "But take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be weighed down with gluttony and drunkenness, and anxieties pertaining to life, and that day come upon you suddenly as a snare; for so it will come upon all those dwelling upon the face of all the earth. But watch ye at every season, praying that ye may have full strength to escape all these things that are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."

Another parable He set before them, saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven was likened to a man who sowed good seed in his field; and, while men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares in the midst of the wheat, and went away. And, when the blade sprang up, and produced fruit, then appeared the tares also. read more.
And the servants of the house-holder, corning near, said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? Whence, then, has it tares?' And he said to them, 'An enemy did this.' The servants say to him, 'Do you wish, then, that we, going, should gather them up?' He says, 'No; lest, while ye gather up the tares, ye root up the wheat with them. Suffer both to grow together until the harvest. And, in the season of harvest, I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the tares, and bind them into bundles, with the view of burning them; but gather the wheat into my barn.'" Another parable He set before them, saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man, having taken, sowed in his field: which, indeed, is less than all the seeds; but, when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the heaven come and roost in its branches." Another parable He spake to them: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like leaven, which a woman, taking, hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened." All these things Jesus spake to the multitudes in parables; and, without a parable, He was wont to speak nothing to them; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, "I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world." Then, leaving the multitudes, He went into the house; and His disciples came to Him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field." And, answering, He said, "He that sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world: and the good seed, these are the sons of the Kingdom; but the tares are the sons of the evil one; and the enemy that sowed them is the Devil; and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels. As, therefore, the tares are gathered up, and are burned with fire, so shall it be in the end of the age. The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of the Kingdom all the stumbling-blocks, and those who do iniquity; and they will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping, and the gnashing of teeth! Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He that has ears let him hear. "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid; and in his joy he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field. "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls; and, having found one pearl of great price, departing, he has sold all that he had, and bought it. "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a net, cast into the sea, and gathering of every kind; which, when it was filled having drawn it up again upon the beach, and sitting down, they gathered the good into vessels, but cast away the bad. So will it be at the end of the age. The angels will go forth, and will separate the wicked from the midst of the righteous, and will cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping, and the gnashing of teeth. "Did ye understand all these things?" They say to Him, "Yes;" and He said to them, "Therefore, every scribe, having been made a disciple to the Kingdom of heaven, is like a householder, who brings forth out of his treasure things new and old."

But the end of all things has drawn near; be ye, therefore, of sound mind, and be sober unto prayers;
