And except those days were shortened, there would be no flesh saved: but for the elect's sake these days shall be shortened.

And except the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been preserved: but for the sake of those elect, whom he hath elected, he hath shortened the days.

For this cause therefore have I invited you hither, to see and to converse with you; for on account of the hope of Israel am I bound with this chain.

As concerning the gospel indeed, they are now enemies for your sakes: as concerning the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sake.
