"Blessed are those who have endured persecution for their uprightness, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to them!

But he answered, "Why do you too break God's command for the sake of what has been handed down to you?

And he said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath,

but it takes no real root in them and they last only a little while; then when trouble or persecution comes because of the message they give it up at once.

You must believe that I am in union with the Father and that the Father is in union with me, or else you must believe because of the things themselves.

And I do it all for the sake of the good news, so that I may share in its blessings along with the rest.
