8 Bible Verses about Foul Clothes

For if there come into your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;

They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheep-skins, and goat-skins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

Even to this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling-place;

For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. And he answered and spoke to those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And to him he said, Behold, I have caused thy iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.

And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
