And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.
[A Psalm of David.] LORD, who shall abide in your tabernacle? who shall dwell in your holy hill? He that walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart.
Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. A perverse heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.
Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he sees his desire upon his enemies.
Discretion shall preserve you, understanding shall keep you:
The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own lust.
The wicked works a deceitful work: but to him that sows righteousness shall be a sure reward. As righteousness leads to life: so he that pursues evil pursues it to his own death.
Righteousness keeps him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthrows the sinner.
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.
He that walks righteously, and speaks uprightly; he that despises the gain of oppressions, that keeps his hands from the holding of bribes, that stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the fortresses of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? when you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you hide not yourself from your own flesh? Then shall your light break forth as the morning, and your health shall spring forth speedily: and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.read more.

And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he comes and rains righteousness upon you.
And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up like calves of the stall.

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
For the kingdom of God is not food and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Only let your manner of life be as it becomes the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of destruction, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

Does a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good life his works with meekness of wisdom.read more.
But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, boast not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone that does righteousness is born of him.

Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his nature remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death.
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
