that, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the glorious riches of his inheritance in the saints,

For it is impossible to renew again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit,

But remember the former days, in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great conflict of sufferings;

And there shall be no more night; and they have no need of the lamp, nor of the light of the sun: for the Lord God will give them light: and they shall reign from age to age.

Wherefore, the scripture says: Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.
