which is the image of the invisible God, first begotten of all creatures: for by him were all things created, things that are in heaven, and things that are in earth: things visible, and things invisible: whether they be majesty or lordship, either rule or power.

For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily,

No man hath seen God at any time. The only begotten son, which is in the father's bosom, hath declared him.

Jesus said unto him, "Have I been so long time with you: and yet hast thou not known me? Philip, he that hath seen me, hath seen the father. And how sayest thou then, Show us the father?

in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest should shine unto them the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, which is the image of God. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus to be the Lord, and preach ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For it is God that commanded the light to shine out of darkness, which hath shined in our hearts, for to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Which son, being the brightness of his glory, and very image of his substance, bearing up all things with the word of his power, hath in his own person purged our sins, and is sitten on the righthand of the majesty on high,
